I took a group of students to the beach for a class last week. I have been to this location many times before and while a good location to teach, I was not expecting anything new or different from other times that I have been there. Just before we were due to meet there was a shower of rain but it passed through before we got to the beach.
As I was walking around exploring the beach I noticed that the rain had created a stippled texture on the sand. I was drawn to shoot the different textures as abstract patterns.
The take away from this experience was that even though the location was not exciting for me and I was not expecting anything different, if you look carefully you will find unique images. As the following images show.
