In my pre digital days there was nothing that pleased me more than working with my 4×5 inch large format camera, shooting black and white film and developing it in my darkroom. Since changing to digital I have worked mainly in colour and when colleagues suggest that I change an image to black and white I feel that it is not as strong as the colour image.
So now I feel that working in black and white is one of my weaker areas. I am now going to work on that and take some images with the intent on producing them in black and white.
Here is a shot of some driftwood on the beach that I think suits the black and white treatment.
